Our 16th year of Blitz Day brought hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers of all ages from 32 faithful churches. Their gifts were scattered from the Evans Hill neighborhood to places throughout Cumberland County. Thirty homes in Evans Hill received the gift of repair work and a fun filled block party at Smith Chapel Baptist Church. The 7:30am kickoff was sparked by blitz day 2011 Pastor Alfonzo McAllister with joyful songs, prayers and inspiring words. The projects included roofing, painting, plumbing, electrical and landscaping. What a great day to be the hands of feet of Jesus!
