Scot's Afganistan Adventures
August 18, 2009
Sue,
You have come up in conversation several times in the last couple of days here in Afghanistan. I was out at a very remote location visiting my guys and I looked up and saw an Inasmuch hat. One of the contractors (an Army retiree, now civilian contractor here) was wearing it. I commented on it and he said that his wife had coordinated the Inasmuch efforts at Campground UMC and that he and his son had participated via Manna Church. I told him that I wanted to get a picture of him in the hat 7,000 miles from Fayetteville, and he suggested that I might like to take the hat on my travels...so...I traded him a hat that I had from my unit and now have an Inasmuch hat that will travel with me as I visit my guys across Afghanistan.
I'll do my best to take some photos and send them, although it may take some time. I thought you'd want to know that Inasmuch is making an impact not only locally, regionally and nationally, but now globally. Praise be to God. Thanks for your continued prayers.
Blessings,
Scot
